Year 3 Assembly

Year 3 really enjoyed performing their recent assembly based on Ancient Egypt to their parents and family members.

The children took us on a journey back in time to find out about Pyramids, how and why they were built and the discovery of the famous Tutankhamun tomb by Howard Carter and Lord Carnarvon.

Our young actors were able to demonstrate the process of mummification from the initial washing of the body with water from the River Nile to the removal of specific organs into Canopic jars and the wrapping of the body using strips of linen.

The children had all worked hard on learning their lines and their delivery of them, which resulted in a most engaging and informative assembly. The performance was brought to a conclusion with a musical review and fantastic singing of a song entitled Tutankhamun.

Apologies to King Tut, missed a bit of your speech as had camera troubles!
