Whenever I speak to the children at Sherborne House School, I am always struck by the articulate and confident way that each child describes their learning and their part to play within our school community. Our children are proud to describe their academic progress, the opportunities afforded to them and their role as a leader of their own learning journeys.
Pupil voice is central to all decisions made, with learning following the interests and curiosities of each child. The skilled teaching team have developed a language for learning, Our Story; where a skills-based approach ensures each child is able to apply the skills needed in a relevant and meaningful way. This, combined with our focus on the values of diligence, courtesy and kindness, means that when each Sherborne House child moves on at 11, the golden thread of their prep school experience with us is evident for all to see.
This Golden Thread comes from our focus on their identity as learners, through our challenging taught curriculum; and from their identity as members of the Sherborne House community; belonging to a school that knows who they are and celebrates all they can achieve.
I would welcome the opportunity to share our school with you and would encourage you to visit us and experience Sherborne House for yourselves.
I look forward to meeting you soon,
Cordelia Cripps
